Reid is a science writer and radio producer in Pittsburgh. He’s the Marcellus shale reporter for the Allegheny Front, Western Pennsylvania’s environmental news show. Listen to the show on Essential Public Radio, 90.5 WESA-FM, Saturdays at 7:30 a.m.

Reid was a fellow at the 2011 Science Literacy Project for public radio reporters. He is the recipient of the 2011 Carnegie Science Award for reporting and analysis. His stories on smart grid and conservation helped Pittsburgh Quarterly win a 2011 Golden Quill for magazine writing.
